Uheldsregistrering in KortInfo improves municipalities' planning and decision-making basis in relation to roads and traffic safety.
With KortInfo Uheldsregistrering, municipalities can plan traffic on a more informed basis. This applies to the proportion of accidents in traffic that the municipalities and the Road Directorate do not find in police records. In order to ensure that these accidents are registered, NIRAS, in collaboration with Aarhus Municipality, Region Midt and South and South Jutland Police, has developed a KortInfo solution for registering traffic accidents.
The solution is used in the emergency departments, where the accidents are registered in the standard data model, which the Road Directorate also uses. It provides comparable data because the model ensures that information such as type of accident, conditions on site, accident situation and much more is filled in correctly.
When the municipality retrieves the collected data and collates it with the Police's data and Vejman, the overall picture of traffic accidents becomes far more nuanced and comprehensive.
