NIRAS Safety team offers fire preventive consultancy within all types of building and within all fire classes.

We are certified fire management consultants, including third party inspection. Our consultancy creates value through our large technical expertise and willingness to challenge traditional thinking with new ideas and solutions. Our fire management consultants think about buildings and fire management together in a holistic way, to ensure that projects are optimised for operation and fire safety.

Our in-house team comprises 25 certified fire management consultants, working in different fire class levels (1-4) and with a collective experience from more than 2000 projects over 20 years. We advise on all kinds of projects, where our clients need a certified fire management consultant. This can be everything from apartment blocks to large industrial buildings or hospitals.

Fire strategy and fire preventive strategies

The building code in Denmark is complex and some parts require interpretation, including those that set out function based requirements. The owners and managers of buildings need to ensure that they are in compliance with current requirements and fire safety levels, and also relevant functionally based requirements. This can be achieved through fire preventive actions and by choosing the right fire strategy. NIRAS has extensive experience and the in-house technical expertise to advise you in these areas.

Industrial fire protection

NIRAS advises industrial companies of all sizes about current requirements for industrial fire protection. Our services include fire protection, regulatory approvals and operational matters. We can identify your fire protection requirements and ensure, that they comply with relevant building codes.

Third party inspection

Our team of fire safety consultants includes certified Category four fire management consultants, that are also qualified to act as third party inspectors. We would be happy to discuss with you the benefits of third party inspections that give you an independent opinion on your fire prevention strategies and measures.

Operation, control and maintenance planning

All buildings must comply with current fire protection requirements and it is important to ensure that the correct control and maintenance of a building’s fire protection. NIRAS has experience of developing control, operational and fire plans, which are tailored to individual requirements.
