Project

Ensuring safety compliance with an Explosion Protection Document

Design And Specification Of Process Supplies

Comprehensive risk assessment and documentation

FDT, now part of NIRAS conducted a thorough analysis to identify all sources of flammable material release and performed an area classification study of the large distillery. This included:

  • Development of Hazardous Area Classification (HAC) drawings.
  • Conducting an ATEX risk assessment.
  • Summarising site safety measures and performing a gap analysis.

Deliverables and training

NIRAS generated the Explosion Protection Document and an ATEX training pack for staff and contractors, ensuring all personnel were adequately informed and prepared to handle potential risks, thereby enhancing overall site safety and compliance.
