A long history in development cooperation

The Copenhagen office is home to +30 employees in the NIRAS International Consulting business unit. Since the signing of our first development cooperation contract around 50 years ago, NIRAS has stayed true to its core vision of being the most inspiring company contributing to a better, more equal, and stable world in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and the Copenhagen office forms a key part of that work. In this office, we manage projects in all of our core business areas, including economic growth, climate change, governance and democracy, infrastructure, and Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning. We manage the Danish government's Peace and Stabilisation Response (Freds- og Stabiliseringsberedskab, link in Danish), coordinate our work with European Union Framework Contracts, and are responsible for implementing +50 major development projects annually (as of March 2020).
