NIRAS is looking for procurement expertise for its portfolio in Sub-Saharan Africa funded by KfW. We serve clients to implement investment projects in the sector of technical and vocational education and training. NIRAS serves as implementation consultant on TVET investment facilities and consults national counterparts, partners and grantees to prepare and carry out tendering processes for works, goods and services. We thus require procurement expertise on the procedures and processes, standards and compliance. Typical areas of advisory include, among others: Oversee procurement of works, equipment, and services as required : - Preparation of tender documents in compliance with national legislation and the Procurement Guidelines and requirements from the client, and international tendering procedures (e.g. FIDIC standards). - Development of procurement plans for the acquisition of works, goods, services - Execution of full tendering processes (one-stage or two-stage), covering document preparation, publication, site visits, bid announcements, bid opening, evaluation, contract award and contracting process - Support client in awarding contracts / support grantees - Management of procurement disbursements and acceptance procedures - Claims and contract management and implement oversight mechanisms - Ensuring compliance with contractual terms, handling claims resolution, risk mitigation, and dispute management to safeguard project outcomes and stakeholder interests.
