Qualifications required:
• Must have an international experience.
• A master's degree in civil/hydraulic engineering or similar education.
• Must be fluent in English and have good team leadership skills.
Professional experience required:
• At least 10 years of work experience in the field of planning, design, construction, operation and maintenance of sewerage and water supply systems in large water supply and sewerage projects, of which at least 10 years of work experience as a project manager or team leader on international projects.
• Experience of at least 5 years in the field of planning and management of studies, detailed design and construction in the drinking water supply and sewerage (hydraulic calculations for the design of water intakes and water supply networks, sewerage systems, wastewater disposal systems, pumping stations, wastewater treatment plants) with the participation of IFIs and/or at least three similar completed projects with the participation of IFIs with an investment value of at least US $ 40million over the past 10 years.
• Experience in CIS countries such as the Kyrgyz Republic will be an advantage.

NIRAS is currently looking for a Team Leader/ Water Supply and Sanitation (WSS) Expert / FIDIC Engineer, and a team of Senior Experts for the consultancy opportunity in the area of drinking water supply development in Batken, Jalal-Abad, Osh and Issyk-Kul regions of the Kyrgyz Republic. The objective of the project is to (i) increase access to climate-resilient water services in selected river basins; and (ii) strengthen institutional capacity for climate-resilient water management at local and national levels.
The scope of services is divided into three phases:
• Phase 1. Development of detailed design and procurement assistance.
• Phase 2. Construction, Supervision and Maintenance period.
