Qualifications required:
• At least a master's degree in economics, engineering, education or similar relevant degree. • At least 15 years of experience in education sector/employment promotion/skills development • At least 10 years' experience in developmental cooperation sectors, preferably KFW, GIZ and EU • Experience working with AU, EU, World banks, AfDB, KfW and other development institutions • Experience in similar projects in financial cooperation, grants management desired • Full work proficiency in English and French • Excellent team working skills, efficient and service-oriented working style and integrity.

The Skills Initiative for Africa (SIFA) is an initiative of the African Union Commission (AUC) supported by the German Government to strengthen occupational prospects of young people. https://skillsafrica.org/ The Financing Facility for Skills Development is implemented by the African Union Development Agency (AUDA-NEPAD) and financed by the German Development Bank KfW. The program is designed to coherently address the common challenges in skills development by supporting innovative and sustainable projects and approaches to facilitate youth, women and vulnerable groups women employment and entrepreneurship. AUDA-NEPAD delegates the day-to-day management of the Financial Component of SIFA project (SIFA FC) to a Fund Management Team (FMT). Country Coordinators, who are part of the FMT, are national experts assigned within their respective countries to work closely with and provide support and advise to the partner structures in order to achieve SIFA FC objectives. The consultancy company NIRAS Germany is contracted to support AUDA-NEPAD in all aspects of project implementation. The objectives of the Country Coordinator assignment are as follows: 1. To represent SIFA FC FMT in their respective country 2. To provide country specific technical and administrative advisory services for SIFA FC project awards, implementation and oversight, , following the SIFA FC Operational Guidelines 3. To provide skills development and employment support, oversight, guidance, and technical assistance from the respective country perspective 4. To facilitate the effective roll out and implementation of the SIFA FC projects in their respective country, in partnership with country stakeholders, FMT Head Office and AUDA-NEPAD
