Advancing EU-Greenland Collaboration: Investments and Innovation in Sustainable Raw Materials and Renewable Energy
The business mission will take place in Nuuk from September 30th to October 3rd 2024, after which optional site visits will take place. The preliminary programme can be accessed here (subject to change).
Itineraries
All participants will depart Copenhagen on September 30th at 12.15 CET. Arrival in Nuuk 17.40 GMT-1 (stop-over in Kangerlussuaq from 14.05-16.45 GMT-1). The itinerary also includes tickets from participants' place of business to Copenhagen and back, including accommodation in Copenhagen upon departure and/or return, if needed.
For return flights, three different itineraries are offered depending on choice of site visit. All three options are based on availability of flights and compatibility with the mission programme.
- Itinerary 1 - Lumina Mine: Nuuk-Kangerlussuaq on October 3rd. Departure: 13.45 GMT-1. Arrival: 14.40 GMT-1. Kangerlussuaq-Copenhagen on October 4th: Departure: 12.55 GMT-1. Arrival: 20.25 CET.
- Itinerary 2 - Buksefjorden Hydropower Plant: Nuuk-Copenhagen on October 4th. Departure: 07.30 GMT-1. Stop-over in Kangerlussuaq 08.25-12.55 GMT-1. Arrival: 20.25 CET.
- Itinerary 3 - no site visits: Nuuk-Copenhagen on October 3rd. Departure: 11.45 GMT-1. Arrival 21.00 CET (indicative).
*In case participants would like alternative travel arrangements, this must be organised by participants individually. In that case, NIRAS is able to refund up to the amount paid for the flight tickets offered in the three itineraries above.
