Geological Student Symposium

Every year, Geological Student Symposium (GSS) gathers students from the geological and geophysical sciences in an inspiring networking event. Copenhagen University and Aarhus University host the event in collaboration to give students from across Northern Europe an opportunity to get to know each other and build social and professional networks. 

Over the three-day event, GSS allows students to discuss central issues in their common fields and develop their professional interests and competencies. 

Participants furthermore get the opportunity to give short presentations about relevant topics or projects they are working on. Interesting presentations are given every year about the participants’ bachelor- or master projects as well as excursions and other scientific projects. 

The event is an amazing opportunity for students to meet future employers and colleagues and get inspired by the many interesting research fields within geology and geophysics. GSS thereby facilitates dialogue and professional development among students of geology and geophysics.
